That guy was right! I used to do the same thing. Look up what your stuff actually sells for online, not what you'd pay for it. A used breadmaker might only be worth $20 to you, but someone really wanting one will pay $50.

Yeah that part about finding someone who really wants it is the whole struggle, right? I mean @simon717 is asking the real question there. I've had stuff sit for months until the right person finally sees it. It's just about waiting and having good pictures, maybe.

That breadmaker example is perfect. I sold a ten year old digital camera for way more than I thought it was worth because I checked ended eBay listings. How do you even start to figure out a price for something weird, like a set of old encyclopedias or a specific tool?
