Compared two fast cash sale methods for old furniture and one was way better
I had this old dining table I wanted to unload fast for cash last month. First I tried FB Marketplace listings with nice photos and detailed descriptions. Got like 5 messages over 3 days, all lowball offers around $40. Then I just threw it on OfferUp with a quick snapshot and said "$100, come get it today" and it sold in 2 hours to a guy who paid exactly what I asked. The difference was keeping it stupid simple and pushing urgency. Has anyone else found that shorter listings actually move stuff faster?

dude yes same thing happened to me with a couch. took a million pics for FB, wrote paragraphs, got nada. listed it on Craigslist with one blurry photo and "200 bucks, pick up today" and it was gone by dinner time. people just want the deal done fast.

People want efficiency not effort every time.

Listed my old kayak for free on a local swap site and got twenty replies in an hour. The lady who took it showed up in pajamas with a bungee cord and drove off smiling. Sometimes less really is more when it comes to selling stuff online.
