My final project fabric bled all over my white silk lining at 2 AM

I was in my dorm room hand-stitching this asymmetrical skirt, and the dark green dye from the outer layer just started running when I sprayed it to set a seam. Now the whole lining is this gross minty color. What's the best way to salvage a piece when the fabric wasn't colorfast?

Wait, you were spraying it at 2 AM? That's some serious dedication right there. What a nightmare to see that color run.

Been there lol. Had a can of matte black spray paint run on a bike frame once. Took a tiny brush and some rubbing alcohol to clean up the edges. Let it dry fully, then hit it with a super light dusting coat from farther away. The key is not to panic and add more paint right away.

Read somewhere that cold water and salt might set the dye before you spray.
