Just spent $300 on 'eco-friendly' fabric that fell apart after one wash
Bought this new bamboo blend from a trendy supplier, thinking it would be great for a summer line. The whole bolt basically dissolved into fuzz in a cold wash cycle. Has anyone found a truly durable sustainable fabric that doesn't cost a fortune?

Maybe the problem was the wash cycle, not the fabric. Some of those new materials need very specific care.

Remember when hemp was supposed to be the tough stuff? My old bag is still kicking.

Notice how everything feels more disposable now. They build things to fail so you buy the next version. My dad's old tools still work fine, but my new drill died in a year.
