Bought a whole roll of that fancy 'liquid silk' lining fabric on sale
It was 15 yards for about $200. The second I started cutting, it frayed into a total mess, like trying to sew with cobwebs. I had to toss the whole piece and use a basic cotton blend instead. Anyone know a lining that looks nice but won't fall apart when you look at it?

Wait, you seriously paid $200 for fabric that just disintegrated? That's brutal. I would have been so mad I might have cried. How can they even sell something that falls apart the second you cut it?

Try a bemberg rayon, way more stable.

Honestly, "way more stable" feels like a stretch. I've worked with bemberg and it can still get weirdly stretchy after a few washes. Tbh, the cost is way higher for something that doesn't even fix the main problem. It's still a delicate fabric that needs babying. For the money, you might as well stick with a good cotton blend that actually holds up.
