Small win after a tricky talk on an old car battery myth
My neighbor was convinced that storing a car battery on concrete ruins it, a myth I knew wasn't true anymore. I didn't want to sound like a know-it-all by correcting him right there in his garage. Later, I showed him a simple article online, and he agreed to keep using his storage space. Feels good to clear up a myth without stepping on toes.

Got me thinking about the time I swore by that myth until my battery froze solid on the patio. Your way of handling it was much smoother than my usual blunt corrections.

You know, I actually think blunt corrections have their place! When my friend kept leaving their phone in the car in winter, I just told them straight up it would ruin the battery. They listened right away because it was clear and direct. Sometimes being too smooth means people miss the urgency. That direct talk saved their phone from a cold death last January. So maybe both ways work depending on the situation.

Does my usual advice leave people cold too?
