My neighbor swore by the 5-second rule for years until I watched him pick up a hot dog off the asphalt
My neighbor Bill always said food is fine as long as you grab it within 5 seconds. Last Saturday at his cookout, he dropped a hot dog on the driveway and scooped it up quick. I told him that rule is a myth and he laughed it off. Two days later he was in bed with a bad stomach bug. Has anyone else known someone who tested the 5-second rule and paid for it?

Wait wait wait... he ate a hot dog off the driveway? Like the actual asphalt where cars drive? I'm sorry but that's just next level, man. I don't care how fast you pick it up, that thing is basically a science experiment after touching that surface.
