My grandma always said you could fix a scratched CD with toothpaste, so I spent 45 minutes on my old Blink-182 album.

I followed a tutorial from 2008, rubbing the paste in circles and rinsing it off, but the skip in 'All the Small Things' just got worse. Has anyone actually had this work, or is it one of those things we all just believed back then?

My old laptop lasted 7 years after I started cleaning the fans every few months. That blog is probably testing brand new machines.

My dusty old laptop fan sounded like a jet engine until I cleaned it. Now it just purrs along quietly. Maybe the myth is that tech blogs actually use their own gear for more than a week? My keyboard is proof I've had this thing for years, half the letters are worn off.
