I talked to my fern for a month to test a growth myth

Everyone says plants grow better with conversation (you know, like chatting them up), but my fern just got browner. I guess it preferred silence, or maybe I was saying the wrong things.

Tried the whole talking thing with my aloe once. Got a sad droopy plant for my effort. Honestly moving it away from the ac vent and watering it way less did the trick. That quiet corner with morning light turned it into a beast. Maybe some plants just want to be left alone with good conditions.
