Hit 100,000 miles in my 2012 Honda Civic last Tuesday and it felt like a milestone I didn't expect to care about

I was just driving home from work when the odometer rolled over to 100,000. Never thought I'd get attached to a car this old, but it's never had a major repair. Has anyone else gotten weirdly emotional about a car hitting a big number?

Yeah I used to think the same way honestly. Always saw cars as just appliances to get from A to B. Then my old beater finally gave up and I had to get something newer. It's weird how having a reliable car that actually starts every morning changes your whole day. You start caring about keeping it clean, noticing how it handles, even looking forward to the commute a bit. Not saying it's a hobby now but I get why people get attached.
