I finally checked out the new Everett library makerspace and it was way more than I expected
I went in thinking I'd just see a 3D printer, but they have a full sound booth and a vinyl cutter too. Has anyone else used their equipment, and what did you make?

My local branch got a button maker last year. Made some truly terrible pins for my nieces.

Grab some cheap sticker paper and print out your designs first. That lets you test the layout and colors before you commit to a button. I ruined a bunch of good pin backs learning that the hard way. Also, keep the designs simple and bold, they read much better at a small size.

Oh man, that sticker paper tip is gold. My friend Jenna tried making pins for a craft fair once without testing first and ended up with a batch that looked like blurry blobs. She was so bummed out she just gave them all to her cat to play with.
