Had to decide between a city council meeting or a neighborhood cleanup last Tuesday.

I chose the cleanup on Broadway and we pulled 12 bags of trash from the ditch. The meeting was about a new parking rule that got passed anyway. Do you think showing up for the physical work matters more than the talk?

Did you see the new rule they passed? I bet the cleanup made a real difference people can see right now... while that meeting probably just felt like talking in circles.

The park down my street got cleared of trash in one weekend. Honestly, meetings about rules never fix things that fast. It's nice to actually see a change for once.

Yeah, like you can actually point to the clean park and say that worked. The rule just feels like words on paper until something happens.
