Vent: These new smart doorbells popping up everywhere are straight up invasive

I'm tired of pretending it's okay for companies to watch our every move just because it's 'convenient'.

Seriously though, my neighbor's one points right at my driveway. Feels like I'm being watched just taking out the trash. And who even gets all that video, you know? They sell that data or use it for who knows what. It's not about safety, it's about them making money. Why do we just accept being watched all the time?
