Hit 50 AI-generated resumes for my team and it changed my mind about hiring bots

I used to think AI screening tools were lazy shortcuts, but after feeding 50 fake resumes through one, I saw it caught 12 outright lies I missed manually. The pattern recognition was way better than my gut instinct on shady qualifications. Have any of you seen these tools actually improve your hiring accuracy or just cause more problems?

Hearing that makes me feel better about my own doubts with these tools...

And what about when the tool flags stuff that's actually fine - like @uma_johnson was saying with honest mistakes getting caught up in it - do you just spend more time double checking the tool than you would have spent just reading the thing yourself? Genuinely curious how that plays out in practice.

I caught 12 outright lies I missed manually" - respect, but I think you're giving the tool too much credit for catching simple stuff anyone could spot with a second read. Pattern recognition is cool and all, but it misses context and can flag honest mistakes as lies, which creates a whole new mess.
