Showerthought: I was convinced ABM was just a buzzword until a sales rep quoted a client verbatim from our content.

Heard him repeat a line from our latest case study to a prospect in Chicago, which directly addressed their specific pain point. Anyone else seen sales actually use your marketing materials like that?

Honestly, it shows how much good marketing just gives people the right words to use. I see it everywhere, like when a friend repeats a catchy line from a commercial to explain why they bought something. When the message is clear and hits the mark, people will grab it and use it as their own. It stops being your content and starts being their explanation. Makes you wonder how often we're all just repeating phrases we heard somewhere else without even realizing it.

Sounds like a total fluke to me. Sales people just grab whatever sounds good in the moment. That rep probably forgot where he even heard that line. Most of the time they just make stuff up on the fly or use their own old scripts. I bet if you check next week, he won't even remember using your case study. Marketing makes nice brochures that just sit in a digital drawer. Real sales happens from personal connections, not reading some paper.

Wait, he quoted it VERBATIM? That's wild. I figured they'd just get the general idea from our stuff. But word for word means they actually read it and saw it was useful. That's a huge win. Makes all those hours on case studies feel worth it for once.
