PSA: We hit 10,000 trial signups target in half the time we planned for our B2B tool

Set a goal of 10,000 trial signups for our new CRM platform. Expected it to take 6 months. Took us 3. The thing that did it was a simple LinkedIn post from our CEO. No big ad spend. No fancy landing page. Just him talking about a problem we solved. Got 4,000 signups from that one post. Anyone else had a single organic piece blow up way bigger than their paid campaigns?

Wow, that's amazing. I've seen this exact thing happen before with B2B tools. The CEO's personal story or insight can cut through all the noise way better than a polished campaign because it feels real and human. If you haven't already, I'd suggest putting a link to that post in your email signature and on your website. Also, consider having your CEO do a follow-up post or a short live video about the results from those first signups, it keeps the momentum going without needing a big budget. The people who came from that post might be your most valuable users too, so treat them like VIPs and ask what they need next.

Started reading that and it reminded me of this small software company I followed years ago. The founder just wrote a blog post about why he built the thing in the first place, no marketing fluff or anything. People shared it like crazy just because it was honest. Sometimes I think we overthink all this strategy stuff when really people just want to hear from the person who made the thing. It's kind of funny how the simplest approach ends up working the best.

Honestly, I used to think big budgets were the only way. This totally changed my mind.
