Heard a building engineer say 'stop chasing ghost faults' and it clicked for me
He meant spend your time on the one rail sensor that keeps failing instead of checking all the limit switches every call. Has anyone else found a specific part that causes most of your intermittent headaches?

And honestly that's the kind of wisdom you only get after years of chasing your tail. We had a similar situation with an old chiller that kept throwing a high pressure alarm. I spent weeks swapping out sensors and checking every saftey switch before one of the senior guys pointed out it was just one specific pressure transducer that would drift when the temperature changed. Now we keep a couple of those on the shelf and the boss knows not to call me for the other stuff, just that one part.

Tbh that whole "chasing your tail" part really hit home, we've all been there man.
