Finally tried Schindler's 5500 vs the old gearless traction setup in a 20 story building
Been swapping out controllers in a 1980s building in downtown Seattle for the past 2 weeks. The old relay logic was a nightmare - constant callbacks for floor leveling drift. Switched to the 5500 drive and the ride quality is night and day different. No more hunting for the floor and the energy regen is actually cutting the building's common area bill by like 15%. Anyone else seen that much improvement switching from DC to AC drives on older high rises?
