Started using isopropyl alcohol in an ultrasonic cleaner for circuit boards and it cut my cleaning time by half

Was fighting with crusty flux residue on a vintage receiver board for hours until a guy at the local electronics shop told me to try 99% IPA in the ultrasonic at 50C for 5 minutes and now I'm done in a fraction of the time, has anyone else had better luck with a specific solvent mix for tough jobs?

Does the alcohol evaporate faster with the ultrasonic heat messing with sensitive components?

Have you tried adding a drop of dish soap to break surface tension?

Does dish soap actually help or does it just make things worse if you use too much? I tried it once on a greasy pan and ended up with suds everywhere. Plus that stuff leaves a film if you don't rinse it all off. Soap is for dishes, not for general cleaning tricks.
