Showerthought: My stubborn refusal to bin a 'dead' laptop paid off.

Lots of techs say recycle when the board is fried. I got a unit with no power. Instead of tossing it, I reflowed the solder on the power jack. It booted right up. Felt good to prove them wrong.

But what if the dead cards aren't the real problem? I tried a reflow build last week and yeah, it shuffles your hand, but sometimes you just get a new set of bricks. It feels like trading one bad draw for another. @the_mark might be onto something questioning if it's that big a win, idk.
