Recapped an old stereo amp and got a nasty hum instead of clean sound
I swapped out all the electrolytics on a 1980s Kenwood KA-7100 last weekend, but now it puts out a 60Hz hum that gets louder with volume. Triple checked my solder joints and polarity, everything looks clean. Did I maybe disturb a ground loop in the process or pick the wrong replacement caps? Anyone run into this ghost hum after a recap job?

Ugh, that's rough, man, I've been there with a hum that just won't quit.

Mike had a bass buzz from a cheap power strip for six months before he swapped it out.
