I was WRONG about ultrasonic cleaners being a gimmick
For YEARS I thought those ultrasonic cleaners were overpriced toys for hobbyists. Then I brought in a crusty old circuit board from a 1990s stereo receiver that I spent 3 hours scrubbing with no luck. I borrowed a friend's $150 unit from Amazon, threw the board in with some simple green for 10 minutes, and it came out spotless. Now I'm thinking about getting one for my bench. Anyone else change their mind on a tool they used to hate on?

...and here I was thinking my elbow grease was some kind of superpower. I spent two hours scrubbing a vintage computer keyboard with a toothbrush and dish soap, got nowhere, then a buddy's cleaner zapped the gunk off in like 8 minutes. Made me feel real silly for all that scrubbing... guess my arms are just for show.

Did you happen to catch what kind of cleaner they used, @grant_hart? Was it one of those ultrasonic deals or some spray on stuff?
