Hot take: Hand stretches before soldering keep the cramps away
Doing some simple stretches before I pick up the iron prevents pain later, lol.

Totally, I had the same issue when I got into lockpicking. A quick stretch session before starting saved my hands from seizing up.

God, it's so true. We just power through the sore hands or stiff fingers like it's some kind of moral failing to take a break. My whole life I just dealt with my hands aching after knitting or whatever, and then one day I did some simple stretches first on a whim. Felt like I'd been handed a secret cheat code everyone else had. It's the most obvious thing in the world once you actually do it.

Seriously, stretching is such a simple game changer for so many little tasks. I've started applying that same idea of a tiny prep step to other stuff, like running my hands under warm water before working in a cold garage or doing a quick wrist roll before a long writing session. It's amazing how those 30 seconds can totally change how you feel an hour later. We always jump right into the main action but the boring setup is what saves you.
