Tried brush-on vs spray polyurethane for kitchen cabinets and one was way faster

I re-did my kitchen cabinets last month and started with spray polyurethane because I thought it'd be easier. Ended up with tiny bubbles and uneven coverage on the door panels. Switched to a good quality brush-on wipe on poly for the rest and it leveled out perfect in half the time. Anyone else find brush-on beats spray for interior cabinet work in Edmonton?

Funny you mention that, I read a review from a woodworker online who said the same thing about spray poly on cabinets. The bubbles are a known issue if you don't have the right setup. Your brush-on poly story lines up with what I've heard from a couple of friends who do their own renovations. They all say brush-on gives a cleaner finish with less mess, especially in a regular house kitchen.

Yeah, my buddy tried spraying his kitchen cabinets last summer and ended up picking dried poly off his countertops for a week. He switched to brush-on for the second coat and said it was like night and day.
