Showerthought: My plumber said something about Edmonton's hard water that stuck with me
He was fixing a leak under my kitchen sink and pointed at the buildup on my faucet aerator, saying 'This city's water will wreck a cheap fixture in under a year.' I'd always just bought the basic models, but now I'm rethinking every tap and valve in the house. Are you guys factoring water hardness into your fixture choices, or is that overkill?

Man, my showerhead looked like a science experiment before I finally swapped it out. I was too cheap to get the good stuff, so I just accepted that cleaning lime scale was my new hobby. Now I'm that guy staring at the warranty cards for bathroom faucets.
