Just finished a basement floor with that quick-dry epoxy kit from the big box store

I followed the instructions to the letter, cleaned the concrete with the acid etch, and mixed the two parts exactly. Poured it out and started spreading, but the whole thing set up in about 12 minutes instead of the 30 the can promised. I ended up with a lumpy, uneven mess that I can't walk on. Has anyone in Edmonton had a better result with a different brand, or is our dry air just murder on these products?

Did you check the temperature in your basement when you started?

Our basement was 18 degrees and the epoxy still set way too fast last fall.

@uma_johnson same here - was your concrete still damp from the etch when you poured?
