Warning: I tried that new lightweight joint compound against the standard stuff on a big job in Spokane.

We had a whole house to finish, so I did half with the lightweight and half with the regular. The lightweight dried way too fast for my liking, making it hard to get a smooth second coat without sanding like crazy. It also didn't seem to hold a feather edge as well on the long seams. After three rooms, I went back to the standard mud for the rest of the job. Has anyone else had a bad time with the lightweight stuff on a big project?

Yeah that thing was a total pain. My arms still hurt from all the weird angles.
