I switched to a 12-inch taping knife for a whole ceiling and my shoulders thanked me the next morning.
I was skeptical it would hold enough mud, but after finishing a 400 square foot popcorn scrape and re-skim in a Denver bungalow, I found the wider blade meant fewer passes and a lot less strain, so has anyone else made a small tool change that had a surprisingly big impact on fatigue?

Try a lighter drill for overhead work, it cuts arm strain in half.

That's how most quality of life improvements work.

Used to believe those kind of changes were just small fixes... but you're right, they add up over time. It's the little stuff that makes the biggest difference in the long run. Never really saw it that way before. Good point.
