Ditched my hand taper for a bazooka on a big hotel job last week
Honestly, I was skeptical about spending $400 on a bazooka, but after doing 80 boards solo on a 5-story hotel in Nashville, it saved me at least 3 hours of taping time. How do you guys handle butt joints with those things without them bubbling up?

Pre-wetting the mud a bit helps me avoid bubbles on those butt joints.

That 80 board solo run on the Nashville job is exactly what changed my own mind about the bazooka.

The whole 80 board thing really puts it in perspective... you don't try that with a regular gun unless you want to spend the whole day unclogging. The bazooka just keeps going, and once you get the rhythm down it's like second nature. That Nashville job had some tough angles too, not just straight runs. Makes you trust the tool in a different way when you see what it can actually handle.
