We hit a solid 18-foot gravel seam on the Columbia last Tuesday

Honestly, the whole week was a breeze because the material was so consistent and the pump barely clogged. My deckhand Mike said he'd never seen the hopper fill that fast in his three years. Has anyone else worked that stretch of river and had similar luck with the bottom composition?

That stretch by Miller Island is always prime.

Totally, the current there is perfect for drifting a line. Caught three smallmouth last weekend just past the big rock. What were you throwing?
