Used to run the cutterhead at full throttle all the time

After 8 years I finally figured out that throttling back to 70% in heavy clay keeps the suction steady and cuts my screen cleaning in half. Anyone else find a sweet spot with their motor speed depending on the material?

Steel on steel at full bore just chews through screens faster. 70% keeps it steady for me too.

lol "steel on steel at full bore just chews through screens faster" - I mean, is it really that deep? I've been running mine at 90% for years and barely notice a difference in screen wear. Maybe if you're dealing with some super abrasive material all day every day, but for normal clay and gravel mixes, I haven't seen screens fall apart that much faster at full throttle. Feel like people overthink this stuff sometimes.
