Took me 6 months to trust the dredge pump flow meter

I always figured those inline flow meters were just another thing to break, but after the suction line clogged twice in one week near the harbor, I finally wired one in and caught a blockage forming before it cost me a full day. The digital readout saved my ass on a 40 foot deep cut, has anyone else had luck with the paddle wheel style over the magnetic ones?

Paddle wheels are solid for clean water, but that magnetic style holds up way better once silt and sand start moving through the cut. Hook a data logger to either one though, then you can spot the slow drop in flow long before your alarm ever goes off.
