Update: Was reading an old drafting standards manual from the 80s

Found a section that said a full set of architectural drawings for a standard house averaged 15 sheets back then... my current project is pushing 40. Where did all this extra detail come from, client demands or just new codes?

Wow, 40 sheets? Tbh @quinn_wood, half of mine are probably just notes saying "don't build it like the 80s.

Honestly, is it a problem though. More detail just means less guesswork on site.

Depends on the detail. Too much can just bury the important stuff.
