That redline comment about my floor plan layers made me rethink everything
A senior drafter at my last shop in Minneapolis told me my layer naming was 'too clever, not clear', so I switched to the AIA standard with a suffix for each discipline. Took me about a week to break the habit, but now when old files come back for revisions, I'm not digging through 30 custom names. Anyone else get burned by fancy layer systems that only made sense to you?

Switched to colors instead of names and now nobody asks me what anything means.
