Spent $80 on a new drafting lead holder and it's been a total game changer
I was using the same old mechanical pencil for years, but the tip wobble was driving me nuts on tight detail work. Bought a Koh-I-Noor 2mm lead holder on a whim last month, and the difference is crazy. The solid clutch and weight make my line work so much cleaner, especially on vellum. It feels like I'm drawing with a proper tool, not just a pencil. Anyone else have a piece of gear that just made everything click?

Oh man, that "feels like a proper tool" line hits home. I upgraded my own pencil after my old one literally fell apart mid-sketch. The new one is so solid I almost don't trust myself with it.

Wait, isn't Koh-I-Noor a brand for leads, not the holder itself?

Okay but have you ever actually held one? The brand makes both, and the holder is a total classic. It's that chunky metal tube with the push button on the end. Feels like a tank in your hand. Calling it just a lead brand misses the whole point of the thing.
