I was drawing a simple bracket for six hours before my coworker in Portland pointed out the issue

I kept trying to get the isometric view perfect, but the angles were always off by a tiny bit. He walked by my screen and said, 'You're still using the old UCS method for that? Try the 3D rotate command.' I switched it and the whole thing snapped into place in about two minutes. Has anyone else found a faster way to set up for isometric drafting?

Six hours on a bracket" is the kind of pain I know too well. That moment when someone points out the one simple command you forgot is equal parts relief and pure rage. I've definitely been the guy stubbornly chiseling away with the UCS when there was a better tool the whole time. It's like searching for your phone while you're holding it.

The UCS trap is real, west.henry. I started setting a 30-minute timer now. If I'm still stuck, I force myself to walk away or ask for a fresh pair of eyes. What's your usual breaking point before you cave and ask for help?

Pure rage" is right. That feeling is the best teacher though. You won't forget that command again.
