Had a chat with a senior CAD guy that really made me step back

He told me I was too focused on perfect lines and not enough on how the assembly actually fits together in real life. Showed me a drawing I did that looked clean but had a 2mm interference I missed. Anyone else realize they're prioritizing looks over function without noticing?

Man, that hits close to home. Used to spend hours making lines look like museum pieces and completely miss the fact that a bolt hole was a millimeter off. Ended up with a prototype that looked beautiful but wouldn't even close because I forgot to account for paint thickness. Embarrassing as hell when the shop guys brought it back with a sticky note that just said "pretty drawing, bro.

Wait, a STICKY NOTE?! Bruh. That's cold. I can't believe they actually wrote that and stuck it right on your print.
