Drafting on vellum vs CAD feels like two different worlds now

I started drafting back in '98 at a small firm in Dayton. We used vellum sheets and pencils for everything, had to erase and redraw a whole section if we messed up a line weight. Now I pull up AutoCAD and fix a dimension in 10 seconds flat. But man, there was something satisfying about laying down a perfect ink line on a clean sheet. Any other old school drafters miss the feel of a real drawing board?

Laying down a perfect ink line on a clean sheet" sounds nice, but I'll take the speed and undo button of CAD any day. That old way was just a lot of wasted time and frustration dressed up as nostalgia.
