Tried those cheap stick-on tile backsplash panels after seeing them fail on YouTube

I saw a video of someone's panels peeling off after 2 weeks, so I figured they were junk. But my kitchen backsplash looked terrible and I had $150 to spend, so I gave them a shot from the hardware store on Main Street. I prepped the wall like crazy and used extra strong adhesive, and 8 months later they still look solid. Has anyone else had these hold up longer than they expected?

Honestly, same here. I put those cheap stick-on panels in my laundry room a year ago and they're still holding up perfectly. Ngl, I was fully expecting them to start peeling after a month or so, but I went overboard with the prep too - sanded the wall, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and pressed them on for like 30 seconds each. Tbh, my friend had hers fall off in three weeks and I think she just slapped them on a greasy wall without cleaning it first.

@karen_perry38 prep is seriously 90% of the battle with those things lol
