Kept thinking flex seal was a gimmick for pond repairs until I patched a 3-foot crack in my liner last spring for $15

It held through a whole season of Ohio freeze-thaw cycles without leaking a drop, so has anyone else had that stuff actually surprise them on a project?

Tried it on a leaky garden hose once and ended up with a stiff green snake that won't bend.

Brought a busted inflatable pool float back to life with it once. Worked great until the sun hit it and the whole thing turned into a hard plastic shell.

Exactly. Turns anything rubbery into a brittle mess. Great for a one-time fix though.
