I just spent $200 on a 'quick' bathroom tile job that went wrong
I wanted to redo the tile around my tub and thought I could just scrape off the old stuff and slap on new adhesive. I didn't check if the wall behind it was solid. Turns out, the old tile was holding up soggy drywall that crumbled as soon as I pulled it off. I had to stop everything, buy new cement board, and get all the right tools. The whole thing cost me an extra $200 and a whole weekend. Anyone know a good way to check your wall before you start pulling tile?
