My cousin's duct tape trellis idea looked silly, then my tomatoes went wild
Last spring my cousin visited and insisted I use duct tape to hold my cucumber trellis together instead of the zip ties I had. I laughed at him, figured it would sag by June, and honestly it held up through three storms and a wind gust that snapped a fence board nearby. The tape actually stretched a bit and let the whole frame flex instead of breaking, which I never would have guessed. I replaced the zip ties on my bean netting with the same trick this month, so far so good. Anyone else had a janky repair that outperformed the proper stuff?
