Tried a corded drill after years of using battery powered ones for a big fence project

After fighting with three dead batteries on my cordless drill while building a 200 foot fence last month, I finally dusted off my old Craftsman corded drill from 1988 and that thing just kept going all afternoon without a single recharge break, has anyone else gone back to corded tools for big jobs?

Exactly. Once you get used to that unlimited power again it's hard to go back to waiting for batteries. My corded drill just sits on the shelf for quick stuff but for anything that actually takes some time it's the only thing I grab.

I used to be all about cordless everything, honestly. Thought cords were just annoying and getting in the way. But then I had to drill like 50 holes in some old hardwood for a shelving project and my battery died halfway through. Swapped to a fresh one and it died again after like 10 more holes. Finally grabbed my old corded drill out of the basement and man, @grantadams is totally right about that unlimited power thing. It just kept going and going and I finished the whole thing in one go without stopping. Kinda changed my whole view on it.

Right? Once you get used to that unlimited power it's impossible to deal with battery anxiety again.
