The great caulk gun disaster of my bathroom remodel
I keep seeing folks squeeze the trigger like they're trying to win a prize, and it's a huge mess. You only need about a 45 degree angle on the handle, not a full pull, or you get giant blobs everywhere. I learned this after using three whole tubes on one window frame last month. My buddy walked in, saw the globs, and just said, 'You know that's not how it works, right?' What's the weirdest tool mistake you've made that seemed obvious later?
