I used to think sharp knives were overrated until I sliced a tomato last Tuesday

Always figured a decent edge was good enough, but after three years of dull blades I grabbed a proper sharpening stone and the tomato didn't even squish. Has anyone else had that moment where you realize you've been making things harder than they need to be?

lol yeah that tomato moment is a rite of passage for sure. I had the same epiphany when I finally sharpened my daily chef knife and it just glided through an onion without crying or fighting back. Made me realize I spent years fighting my tools when a little maintenance wouldve saved so much hassle.

Wait, are you serious? You went YEARS without sharpening your chef knife? Like just raw-dogging dull blades on everything?
