Why does nobody talk about the cost of a good drawing tablet?
I finally bought a Wacom Cintiq 16 for about $650 after using a cheap one for years. The pressure sensitivity and color accuracy are so much better, it feels like I'm actually drawing on paper now. What's the one piece of gear that was totally worth the money for your digital art?

Check if you're making art for a living first. Most hobbyists do fine with cheaper gear for years, like you did. Dropping serious cash only makes sense if your income depends on it.

But what if better tools help you get to that point faster? A pro camera didn't make me a pro, but learning on one forced me to understand light and settings in a way my old point-and-shoot never did. Sometimes the right gear unlocks a new level of skill that cheaper stuff just can't teach.

Ever think about how much time you waste fighting with gear that doesn't work right? I saved up for a good screen tablet after my old one kept glitching mid-line. That smooth feeling lets you focus on the art, not the tech. It's not about being a pro, it's about removing the stuff that holds you back. Why struggle for years with a tool that fights you every step?
