Why does everyone post their digital art at 72 DPI for online viewing?

I keep seeing people in this group export their showcase pieces at 72 DPI because they think it's the 'web standard'. That was true like 20 years ago, but modern screens are way sharper. I exported my last piece, a character portrait, at 150 DPI and the details on the hair looked so much cleaner on my phone. It's a simple setting in Procreate or Photoshop, but it makes a real difference in how your work looks. Anyone else notice this or am I just being picky?

Totally agree, it's an outdated habit. Higher DPI makes a real difference on modern screens.

You're totally right, it makes a huge difference. I bumped mine up a while back and the quality jump was obvious.

So what DPI do you actually set for your phone wallpapers then?
