What is with people posting grainy 72dpi screenshots and calling it 'art'?

I was scrolling through the showcase section last night and saw like 4 pieces in a row that were clearly just low-res phone screenshots of a tablet screen. One of them even had the battery notification bar still visible at the top. Is it just me or does that kind of thing completely kill the vibe for showcasing your actual work? I get that we're not all professionals here, but if you're gonna share, at least export at 300dpi or crop out the UI clutter. How do you all handle when someone posts something that's more about the setup than the art itself?

Olivia's got a point honestly. That battery bar thing is annoying but I've seen some genuinely cool stuff where you could tell the artist was just excited to share, not trying to be fancy. Way better than the people who spend more time framing their setup than actually making something worth looking at.

The real flex is making something good despite bad quality, not pretending you're a pro when you're just thirsting for attention.

Give it a break, not everybody has the latest gear or knows how to export stuff right. I've seen dudes post amazing doodles taken on a flip phone and it still came through as real work, not some show-off piece. That battery bar thing is annoying sure, but the art itself matters more than the pixels. If somebody's trying to share something they're proud of, nitpicking their export settings just makes you look like a gatekeeper.
