Warning: that $12 Glaze brush pack from my local art store in Portland actually holds up
I figured a cheap brush pack would fray after a couple of paintings, but 3 finished pieces in and the bristles are still holding a clean edge, so what cheap brush brands have actually surprised you?
Wait, 12 bucks and they survived three paintings? I'm sitting here staring at my $40 set that started shedding hairs on the second canvas like it owed me money. What gets me is the clean edge part, because that's usually the first thing to go on cheap brushes. Mine turn into little brooms after one wash. Are you doing anything special when you clean them or is the brand just weirdly good?
