Tried painting with only a palette knife for a month and my landscapes got way too chunky
My sky ended up looking like mashed potatoes and now I'm stuck trying to smooth out texture I can't undo without starting over, has anyone else messed with knife-only work and regretted it?

Just scrape it down with a palette knife and call it abstract. Chunky landscapes are a vibe if you lean into it.

Honestly, a mate of mine tried the knife-only thing for a month and ended up with a seascape that looked like chunky peanut butter. She spent two hours just trying to scrape it down with a razor blade and totally gave up, said it felt like sculpting a failed cake. She's back to brushes now and swears she'll never go full knife again.
